EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
This one day, HSE recognised course is for anyone wishing to learn the basics of first aid including:
CPR
Communicating with the casualty
Dealing with a casualty who is unconscious
Choking
Bleeding
In shock
Or with minor injuries
It is also for employees who are obliged to be a certificated first aider in their work due to HSE requirements.
FIRST AID AT WORK
This three day, HSE recognised course is a qualification aimed at those who wish to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This qualification is intended for candidates already working or preparing to work in industry. It covers all areas of first aid including:
The Role and Responsibility of a First Aider
Assessing an Incident
Unresponsive Casualty who is Breathing
Unresponsive Casualty who is not Breathing
Assist a Casualty who is Choking
Casualty who is Wounded and Bleeding
Casualty who is in Shock
Casualty with a major and minor injury
FIRST AID AT WORK CERTIFICATION
The First Aid at Work qualification is valid for a period of three years at which point a requalification course must be taken. This course includes both the theory and practical assessments which are the same as the ones conducted on the 3 Day First Aid at Work course.
