HEALTH AND SAFETY

Ensuring staff members are effectively trained in health and safety procedures is extremely important for employers. This is to ensure they have the correct systems in place to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for employees and any other people who may be affected by their business activities.

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

This qualification is aimed at employees and enables them to work safely and recognise and deal with hazards in the workplace. It also provides learners with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace.

Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

This qualification is aimed at learners already working in the capacity of supervisor, manager or team leader and also those who are preparing to start work at this level.

Safe Moving and Handling

This qualification is aimed at learners who need specific training in manual handling.  It is also suitable for refresher training.

Fire Safety

Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise the consequences of fire in any premises.  This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.
